This kalamkar (the closest English translation is "Calico") features images from Persia's Zoroastrian heritage, including King Darius the Great, founder of the capital, Persepolis. It also features the faravahar, the emblem of the Zoroastrian faith, the Ahura Mazda (a human head on a winged lion's body) and King Darius receiving gifts with the Immortals standing guard. There is also an image of King Darius wrestling a mythological creature.
