Acid etched into the polished base is "Confrac Art Verrier France"; which translates to Confrac Glass Art France. This beautiful piece is from about the 1940's, has superb clarity, a slight flare from the base, beautiful symmetry and would definitely make a beautiful addition to a crystal or art deco glass collection!
Although the shape was popular design, each individual dish was created by a talented artisan! With minuscule air bubbles scattered about you can be sure that this gorgeous work of art is truly an original!! It has approximate measurements of 10" at the widest point, 3 ½" tall to the most lifted point and sits on a 2 3/8" base and has roughly a 3" bowl depth. Besides some small surface scratches (which should be expected with its age) there are no other chips, breaks, gouges, cracks, or flakes.
