Like new September 5/1987  college football program, Clemson Tigers vs. Western Carolina Catamounts.. Played at Memorial Stadium, Clemson, SC., with Clemson winning 43-0. Clemson Head Coach Danny Ford.   Clemson's Leading players were QB Rodney Williams passing yardage 1486  -6 touchdowns -10 interceptions  RB Terry Allen 973 yds. 8 TD's  WR Gary Cooper 618 yds. 4 TD's. Clemson's record for 1987  was 10-2 (6-1-ACC) playing in the Gator Bowl beating Penn State 35-10 and ranked 12th in final AP pool.
