The Segway KickScooter E45D electric scooter is built on large, high-tech 9-inch DD (Dual Density MicroCell) tires that incorporate the best of both worlds. Instead of filling with air or solid fillers, they contain a special foam that has the properties of an inflated tire and the durability of a solid. The result is a comfortable ride on big wheels with no flaws. The comfort is underlined by an additional shock absorber at the front.

The E45D has a completely redesigned electric motor with a nominal output of 300 W (max. 700 W) Improved and more efficient torque. This will allow for more than 20% of the increase, which is double that of the ES series. The maximum speed is set at 20 km/h. The range is 45 km. The longer lifespan of the IPX4 allows operation in Allen weather conditions.

The E45D electric scooter has a redesigned fender design that can better protect you from splashing water. It is equipped with a powerful LED headlight and an LED rear light with brake light function. It is also equipped with extremely powerful E & Z MARK reflectors, which significantly increase safety and visibility during operation.

Regulations for driving Segway Ninebot products in Germany
The products offered here - apart from the MAX G30D, MAX G30D II, E22D, E25D, E45D and the new KickScooter models F20D, F30D and F40D - may only be driven on private property, as they do not have a general operating permit from the Federal Motor Transport Authority.

The MAX G30D, MAX G30D II, E22D, E25D, E45D, F20D, F30D and F40D have the general operating permit and are therefore subject to the regulation for small electric vehicles. It can be ridden on public roads and cycle paths.

Here are the most important facts about driving the KickScooter:
• E-scooters are permitted on cycle paths. Only if these are missing may you switch to the lane. They are not allowed to ride on the sidewalk.
• A driver's license is not required. The minimum age for driving an e-scooter is 14 years.
• Helmets are not compulsory for e-scooters, but we recommend wearing a helmet to protect yourself. This applies to all Segway-Ninebot products.
• Liability insurance for the e-scooter is mandatory. This is proven with an insurance sticker stuck on the scooter.
• Taking the bus and train with you is generally permitted, but depends on the respective transport company. Please check with your local transport company for detailed information.
• With the insurance indicator, liability insurance pays for damage to third parties in the event of accidents. The driver is liable for his own damage.
