This is an audiophile unit from Yamaha. It is not the top of the line but it sounds very musical.
My lost is your gain (this is one of my collected items).
Disc tray is very quiet.
No Remote.
I am not sure it plays CD-R or CD-RW but CD.
Please do research or homework on this unit regarding the sound quality.
