A genuine Dorothy Dandridge signature for sale on an original cinema lobby card promoting the groundbreaking hit musical film ‘Carmen Jones’ (1954).

The autograph is in biro pen ink on the lobby card alongside Dorothy Dandridge’s name and image.

It was this performance in ‘Carmen Jones’ that led Dorothy Dandridge to be the first African American actress to be nominated for an academy award.

The autographed lobby card itself has been stored brilliantly and is presented in excellent condition. (Faint signs of storage and handling)

This item was recently sold at auction as part of an autograph collection job lot.
