Antique Dresden Saxony Teacup & Saucer Hand Painted Tea Cup Floral Spray and Gold Gild Germany Afternoon Tea Party Coffee Vintage

Have you ever wanted to have both a new tea pairing for your collection, as well as a new work of art? Now you can have both with this elegant teacup and saucer set!

These pieces have been masterfully and meticulously hand painted in gorgeous pinks, blues, orange, yellow, purples, greens and gold gilding to create beautiful floral sprays accented with a delicate golden scroll design. Simply stated, elegant works of art by a true artisan that have stood the test of time!

I have not been able to find the symbol backstamp, but the wording stamp could be from as early as the late 1870's to the early 1900's, making the set quite possibly between 128 and 158 years old!

Each piece has a blue overglaze stamp of "Dresden Saxony". The cup measures 2-1/8" tall x 3-1/2" wide and has a 6-ounce capacity. The saucer is 3/4" tall x 5-1/2" in diameter.

It is in excellent antique condition, showing very minor, if any, signs of aging or wear! There are no chips, cracks, crazing, scratches or repairs.

Please note that production and painting methods of the time may have caused varying types of minor blemishes - which only makes an amazing one-of-a-kind creation!
