Description
Judging from the serial number and pot date, this one is believed to have been made in 1971!
The wood material is mahogany body with pancake construction, 3P mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
It is equipped with two low-impedance pickups, and has a toggle PU switch, master vol, bass tone, treble tone, phase switch, impedance switch, and a 3-way switch for tone switching, which is not unlike a passive bass. The controls are not unlike those of a passive bass, allowing you to create a variety of different sounds.
The multi-ply binding, block inlays, and diamond split inlays give it a high-class look and feel.
It is in relatively good condition with no fatal damage.
The control panel has been repaired, and the area from the jack to the end has been cut off and repaired with a new piece of wood. Although some marks can be seen, the panel itself has not been damaged and has been repaired beautifully.
The chipping of the 4th string saddle has also been repaired. We judge that there is no problem with the specifications.
There are deep gouges on the top of the body and the side of the fingerboard.
The frets are flat, but this does not seem to be a problem when playing.
The truss rod has enough remaining and the neck condition is generally good.
Currently, the strings are set at 2.7mm on the 4th string and 2.1mm on the 1st string. This setting may cause some chattering after the joint, but we have prioritized playability up to the joint. We will be happy to make the setting to your preference at the time of purchase. Please feel free to ask us.
This Triumph bass is a very rare model!
We recommend this one for players!
