These cut crystal plates were produced in the United States by the Hawkes Manufacturer in the mid 20th century. They are signed by the maker.  The plates measure 8 1/2 inches in diameter and are 3/4 inch deep.  The plates are fine, clear crystal that ring like a bell when tapped.  The cross hatch pattern around the border and the thumb print are hand cut and polished.  The plates have an indented well to contain any dressing spills.
