Book is NEW, still shrink wrapped. It can be shipped MEDIA mail, but does weigh just over 8 lbs., which is a LITTLE less shipping cost and I will refund any shipping not utilized, $2 or more. HOWEVER, if you order it in conjunction with another item, the MEDIA mailing option won't happen, will be regular shipping
