The Kinks are one of the greatest bands of all time! The Kinks are certainly up there with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. However, due to a dispute with the unions in America the Kinks were barred from performing in the late 1960s in America. Thus, the Kinks were prevented from performing at Woodstock and The Monterey Pop Festival which would have garnered them critical Acclaim and a much wider audience. In all fairness the kinks are very idiosyncratically English and their sense of humor and sociological/political commentary may have gotten lost in the process. Ray Davies remains one the best songwriters in the history of music. This record has rarely been played ( maybe 3 times ). This LP looks and sounds fantastic. Besides a small crease and a very small opening on top the record sleeve is in near mint condition. I do not grade my records mint unless they are sealed. I use strict Goldmine standards.
