Rare 1922 Ye Bull Pen Inn fold-out RPPC postcard Los Angeles original site with art deco designs next to inside picture and a funny message. Black and white and sepia RPPC advertising postcard for one of the early theme restaurants in L.A. Has a black and white reprinted photo of the inn's outside on the front, and a sepia photo of the restaurant interior inside. 

This is in very good condition (please see description), and when folded out, measures 11" by 3.5".

Front says: "Ye Bull Pen Inn, 633 South Hope Street, Los Angeles, California; Also operating at 240 O'Farrell Street, San Francisco, and Sulphur Mountain Springs, Santa Paula, 70 miles from Los Angeles; Chas F. DeLong and Eugene Machtig, General Managers." 

The inside picture is a panorama picture of the interior of the dining room showing, among other things, bull light fixtures hanging from the ceilings.  Has nice art deco/nouveau designs printed on each side of the photo.

The postcard was mailed to Ruth Johnston, So. 6th East St., Salt Lake City, Utah. 

The message on the back reads "Ruth and Katherine: Your mother wanted to see a Bull Fight. So we went to this place last night. She eat a piece of the bull in the form of a planked steak about the size of this card when opened out. Dad"
