  • Back: Pantera logo, cannabis/marijuana leaf, and "TOUR '95" title with faded cities underneath (misspelled), 16.25" (W) x 18.75" (H)
  • Pantera is an American heavy metal band from Arlington, Texas; formed in 1981. The group's best-known lineup consisted of the Abbott brothers (drummer Vinnie Paul and guitarist Dimebag Darrell), along with Rex Brown and Phil Anselmo, who joined in 1982 and 1986 respectively. In addition to their development and popularization of the groove metal subgenre, Pantera is credited (along with others, such as Testament, Sepultura, and Machine Head) for being part of the second wave of thrash metal scene from the late 1980s to early-to-mid 1990s. Looking for their first big breakthrough, Pantera released their fifth studio album, titled "Cowboys from Hell" on July 24, 1990. Pantera showed a more extreme style on this outing, leaving behind its glam metal influences in favor of mid-tempo thrash metal dubbed "power groove" (groove metal) by the band.
