DESCRIPTION:  This auction is for a (1) working DOOR LOCK SOLENOID / ACTUATOR.  This ONLY FITS THE PASSENGER DOOR OF A 1970 (only!!) G.M. FULL SIZED 2-DOOR CONVERTIBLE OR COUPE.  This is fully a non-repairable item when yours goes bad...you have to throw away the old one and replace it with another.  Pretty simple to do, actually.  If your lock pull doesn't go up and down, then likely the lock actuator has seized.   

IMPORTANT NOTE:  THIS WILL NOT WORK IN ANY 4-DOOR MODELS.  

DONOR CAR:  1970 Cadillac Coupe Deville

ITEM CONDITION:  Actuators don't get to see daylight often, they are tucked inside the lower portion of your car door.  That's exactly where this one was 50 years until I removed it.  It's in great working condition.  Strong Push/Pull when activated.  Ready to bolt in and use.  It has the rubber boot cap and it appears to be sealed  -- the center cone around the rod has apparently been reinforced with a gasket or rubber style sealant (probably to cover rubber cracking, after all, its 54 years old!).  The actuator has has the 3 screw mounting bracket on the back, but some car models only used 2 of those screw sockets on the bracket.  Pictures show the lock plunger in the UP and DOWN positions, to assure you that this is not a seized unit - Also check out the video, in which you can see and hear the actuator snap boldly into position.  The body on this one is exceptionally clean!  No rust on the factory silverish finish.  I haven't seen one of these actuators listed online in ages, so don't snooze and lose on this hard to find part.

I'd recommend that you grease up your window rails and lubricate the lock mechanism at the same time that you replace this actuator.
