This is a nice quality full size 250K Ohm Linear track potentiometer with a split / splined 24 Tooth Brass shaft and 3/8" Brass bush suitable for use for FENDER STRATOCASTER or TELECASTER guitars (and is a suitable service replacement for genuine FENDER factory fitted pots which will have Imperial threaded 3/8" pots fitted, with slightly larger mounting holes and of course different knob splines) and for other guitars with single coil pickups, designed to be mounted on a plastic or metal plate.

Please note that these pots must be fitted with 24 tooth knobs as they have a fine splined shaft, as used by FENDER in the US, not the 18 tooth coarse splined knobs fitted to many clone and import style STRATOCASTER or TELECASTER guitars. Also, if fitting to a guitar drilled for modern pots with an M8 threaded bush, these 3/8" (9.4mm) pot shafts need a 9.5mm mounting hole so check your guitar. Original FENDER 24T knobs will fit this pot.

Please note that some Strats/STRAT copies may be fitted with humbucker double coils which would suit a 500K pot better.... if in doubt about your guitar, check before ordering!

This pot has a 24mm body and a short shaft (15.5mm total including thread, threaded part is 6mm in length, allowing a mounting plate thickness of approx 4mm maximum. The splined split shaft will accept any 24T splined knob but NOT the 18T type in our store or often fitted to clone or import guitars. Please note that this pot is not suitable for mounting in wooden cavities such as that in a Les Paul, as these require a longer mounting shaft.
