Yuroz described that when he first came to the US in NYC, he struggled and lived in very poor neighborhoods ; often spent time among the homeless people in streets. 

He paint them as his models ; expressing their human spirits and love of life, and not their living conditions and the actual outlook - often portrayed them in nude or non- specific clothing.

The friendly relationships between them, their simple joy of living, and the joy of music are the visible and expressive characteristics in Yuroz 's work.
