1973-75 Bradley Greco Ibanez SG Matsumoku Vintage Made In Japan Refinish Lawsuit.

I just finished another mid 1970’s SG style guitar.

These were made by Matsumoku in Japan and badged with several brands, the most popular were Greco, Burny, and Ibanez. There are probably 40 other badged brands of the same guitar.

All of the poly coating has been removed and left open pored and stained with dark walnut and coated with lacquer. It was then wet sanded fairly smooth on the alder caps and left it open pored on the beveled edges. These guitars turn out stunning when you remove all of the gunk that is put on them at the factory.

The guitar originally came with a Bigsby style Vibrola system on it, but I removed it and filled the holes. I then installed a new Gotoh stoptail and inserts. The bridge and inserts are original.

The tuners were replaced with a Kluson style set.

The pickups were replaced with Golden Age Alnico 2 PAF style. These have original style steel braided coated wires. The pots, 3 way selector switch, and input jack are original.

The frets obviously show some wear, being 50 years old. The guitar is intoned properly and the neck has good relief and trussrod is free.

I have just installed a brand new set of D’Addario XL .09-.42 strings.

The guitar will be shipped in its original hard case.

It will be professionally packaged and shipped with insurance.

THE GUITAR WILL NEED TO BE TUNED AND POSSIBLY SET UP TO YOUR OWN PREFERENCES. I DO NOT GIVE PARTIAL, OR FULL REFUNDS FOR THIS.
