These speaker parts have improvement over old speakers not just in terms of sound but also the way they are designed. The old speakers had two contact points that needed to touch motherboard and they were basically long thin metal pieces that ran from bottom to top and were raised from the bottom. So if the angle of the raise was too low then speaker wouldn’t make contact and you had to manually raise the contact angle yourself. And they were also subject to damage due to the metal pieces being long and suspended at angle.

The new speaker I’m selling no longer have long metal contact points starting from bottom. Instead they’re at top and bent in triangle in loop so you don’t have to worry about raising the contact points manually or subject to breakage.

I tested the install on my Miyoo mini plus and it’s definitely easier than old speaker parts bc I didn’t have to worry about contact points being made with motherboard or not. It worked first time around immediately. It seems like there’s extra magnet strength so it connects with the mother board easier.

The tracking is slow for First Class (Now called USPS Ground Advantage ) and they sometimes don’t show progress at all until the item is actually out for delivery. But rest assured I mostly ship out the same day if ordered before 2PM PST or next day for sure. I sold almost 200 of these and package was never lost. BUT there were 4 instances where tracking never updated for whole week and I refunded but they still showed up and got delivered eventually. So don’t be discouraged if tracking doesn’t update immediately the next day of purchase.

Item is shipped in black padded envelope. And I wrap the speaker one more in cut out from another bubble mailer for extra protection.

When installing, do not push the battery all the way down the housing. Let it just sit and let the speaker make contact with the board as you put the board back in. The magnet will ensure the speaker is stuck to the board and contact be made. When you push the speaker down all the way, the glue from the waterproof seal will now prevent the speaker from getting lifted up by magnet and sticking to the board.

After installing the speaker try to play any of the PSX titles. You will definitely hear the improvement on the CD sound and will be surprised at how high you can crank up the volume now.
