Condition: Near fine green cloth hard cover with the title on the spine and title and author's name on the front cover. This is one of 1500 signed first editions that were issued with a slipcase. The covers are clean and unmarked. The title block on the spine does have some scuffing. The corners are sharp and bump free. There is little or no edge wear. The page edges are stained all around. The slipcase is in very good condition with sunning and shelf wear but is solid and crack free. This edition was issued without a dust jacket. There are no signs of former ownership inside. The pages are all clear and free from tears. The pages have darkened a bit due to age. Book size is 6.5 inches wide by 9.25 inches tall, 602 pages. The first edition typo "bite" on page 281 is present (see pic).
