Gigcaster 5 is equipped with a dedicated front panel jack for direct connection of guitars and basses. This channel is equipped with many of the same amps and effects as BOSS's flagship GT-1000 model, including 100 preset patches, so you can plug in your guitar and instantly deliver your performance. Up to 200 user-created patches can be stored. A tuner, essential for performance, is also built into the main unit. Microphones and synthesizers with high-quality sound

Gigcaster 5 features superior microphone preamplifiers for low-noise, crystal-clear audio distribution. +The two XLR jacks are phantom powered to accommodate condenser microphones. Effects are available for vocal performance or for use in conversations during distribution. They can be used to enhance the quality of singing voices, add harmonies, or change the character of spoken voices with voice-changer effects. Synthesizers and other instruments can also be connected to the instrument L/R jacks to deliver small group sessions.

Integrated Audio Environment

With its compact yet versatile mixer functionality, Gigcaster 5 provides centralized control of audio around your desk. It features a total of five channels: three for microphones and instruments, Bluetooth, and USB. A variety of sources can be aggregated and mixed into Gigcaster 5. The multi-track USB audio function allows each channel and the mixed audio to be sent to a PC for performance distribution, recording on a DAW, or online conferencing. Since each channel is recognized as an independent device on the PC, it is possible to specify which channel to use for each software application. The mix can also be controlled on the main unit by sending the audio played by each software to a Gigcaster 5 channel.

Convenient functions condensed into a compact package

This small unit has all the useful functions for streaming. Background music, essential for live streaming, can be played from mobile devices via Bluetooth. Using the device's call feature, the Gigcaster 5 can also mix the remote guest's voice. The volume of the background music can be automatically lowered as the conversation begins, eliminating the need to adjust the volume. When connected to the dedicated application, jingles and sound effects imported into the application can be played from the main unit's display via touch operation to further enhance the delivery.

Intuitive and Deep Mixer Functions

Gigcaster 5 features a brightly colored touch display, five input channels and an output channel that controls the overall volume, each with its own fader for intuitive volume control. The display shows level meters for all channels, including outputs, on a single screen, making it easy to manage proper levels. The display also provides access to a variety of built-in effects, including a noise suppressor and de-esser, to further refine the sound.

Customizable Virtual Pads

The eight on-display pads can be assigned any function. Up to four functions can be assigned to a single pad, such as turning built-in effects on and off or switching patches. Since any MIDI CC can be sent, the pads can be used in a wide range of applications, such as triggering the pad to switch between video sources, if the settings are configured to match the software on the PC side. The same functions can also be assigned to an optional external footswitch, allowing control at your feet. Eight pads, each with a different function set, and their combinations can be stored as eight banks. In total, 64 functions can be accessed.

Distribution and Recording

Gigcaster 5 is also a highly functional audio interface, allowing you to distribute and record high-quality sound as it is. Multitrack recording is also supported, making it easy to create content with multiple sound sources. It is also possible to record the sound of each channel separately while distributing the 2MIX sound. This allows for slow re-mixing at a later date and is also useful for archiving.
