BrennerTech Quazar (Optical Distorter)

The Quazar features an original, experimental circuit design that converts the audio signal into light, then back into electricity, effectively capturing the “sound” of an LED. The result is a gnarly, synthy fuzz sound, which can be adjusted to be more or less gated.

"Moses' sandals! This thing will rip your larynx out! This is killer on my bass, and can't wait to play with it on the guitar. This is a wicked pedal! What a hidden gem. If you're looking for a unique fuzz this will punch your face in. I freaking love it! Don't stop making them, this pedal rocks!"

"Quazar is a truly work of genius. Totally new distortion sound. Almost synth like without dealing with glitch and tracking issues or latency. Best sounds are all at noon. But it is not a one trick pony. The bias control is really tuned in to dial other sounds. Turning clockwise allows refined chords. Counter Clockwise gives it a more gated velcro feel. Purchased a Boss LS-2 to blend the nastiness. So original and really gets the creativity going. Can't wait to see what else this madman makes. A+"

"Loving this pedal, very interesting sound. It's a distinct buzz/fuzz sound depending on where gain is set, and bias allows you to rein in underlying noise depending on your needs and can have a fun warble effect as you play around the gate line. Overall it looks well built, the knobs and foot switch feel solid, and the color change of the central LED as the gate kicks in and out is a nice touch. Very glad I decided to snag this one."

Note: Because these pedals are being hand-built by one person with limited equipment, each unit may have minor cosmetic imperfections.
