Nanbu Kogei Tetsuki originated during the heyday of the third generation of Hiraizumi Fujiwara, who left the culture in Michinoku, Iwate Prefecture, and has passed down the tradition of 900 years since then.

Nanbu Tekki is popular with many people for its excellent quality and is famous overseas as a representative Japanese traditional craft.
