Art of Rug Weaving was brought to Kashmir in 14th century by Islamic preachers from Persia.The art flourished under different rulers and kings ultimately gained an independent identity.Kashmir became the hub of Carpet trade in silk route era.This rug is a classic example of that beautiful past.
