with the maker`s mark - C l & S, for

Charles Lucas & Sons (manufacturing jewellers)

Vyse Street, Birmingham.

A most attractive ring, the band in unworn condition.

The centre amethyst is a little scuffed, but only seen

under a powerful glass.

 Surrounded by 12 small, cut diamonds that really 

sparkle, even in moderate light.

I have described the 12 stones as diamonds. They 

have not been tested, and I could not guarantee them,

but they really do look the part.

The main stone is cup set and the surrounding 

stones are each set with a single claw.

A very good, but small, set of hallmarks and 

maker`s marks.
