Absolutely gorgeous and unique, possibly one of a kind, late 19th century Swiss Black Forest Bear Letter Holder. Made by CH. H. Schuh, Interlaken (Switzerland) most likely around 1880 but possibly up to 1920.

Excellent condition, base appears to be maple, the fencing that holds the letters appears to be silver plated brass but could be solid silver.

Very well done and interesting addition to your desk or entry cabinet.
