1980's Ovation's 1617 Legend is now available in natural finish! The top is spruce, the side back is rilacord, and it has a raw sounding deep bowl. The serial number indicates that it was made in 1988, and although there are some minor scratches, it remains clean for an instrument over 30 years old. The main parts such as gold pegs and bridge also remain original. It has a simple built-in preamp with volume and tone only, which can be used for live performances! The nut width is just under 42mm, and it is a solid soft V-shape that is not too thick. The angle is correct and the truss rod works fine. The frets are slightly worn, but there is still plenty of room for more in the future. The string height is adjusted at about 2.1mm on the 6th string side at the 12th fret and about 1.2mm on the 1st string side at the 12th fret, which is a stress-free height up to the high position. A self-made shim under the saddle is included, so you can fine-tune it to your preference. The spruce top gives the wood a warmer sound than carbon, and the sound is pleasantly resonant! The deep bowl gives it a lot of volume! Comes with original hard case.
