Jager leaves

Description

German Army Jager Leaves.

The Jager Divisions were first set up in 1940 as light pursuit divisions. They were organised and equipped much like the Gebirgsjager troops but without the mountaineering equipment.

The Jager leaf insignia was introduced in October 1942 for all personnel serving in a Jager Division and to be worn on the left side of the Bergmutze cap just above the temple. The cap insignia was made to correspond to the matching sleeve insignia worn on the right bicep.
