VTG 1938 Original Signed Framed Floral Watercolor Painting, Poinsettias 14x18
by Weigold, I had to open up this frame to clean the glass and discovered the artist's signature, the date, and that the framing was done in Germany. The name Weigold is a common German name and I believe the painting to have been brought over to the USA at some time after its framing.
Dimensions: 13 3/4 x 17 3/4 inches
Condition: The painting is bright, colorful and clean showing no signs of damage, fading or discoloration. The frame is clean and sturdy, but has numerous scratches and scuffs visible upon close inspection. There is a linen border that is beginning to come unwoven and has some damage.
