The Nation's Largest 4th of July Rodeo and Family Entertainment dates back to 1922.
Each buckle will come in a little velvet pouch with draw string closing.
Included are as follows:
- July 4, 1986 Commemorating Weld Co's.125th Anniversary & their own 64th birthday. May have a little wear to the (looking at it) left corner, outside edge.
- July 4. 1987. 2nd in series. Joins in the celebration of the bicentennial anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. The Buckle does have quite a bit of wear and scratching to the front of the buckle. See photo
- July 4, 1988. 3rd in Series dedicated to the Union Colony Civic Center.
- July 4, 1989. 4th in Series commemorating the University of Northern Colorado.
- July 4, 1990. 5th in Series dedicated to the Saddle Bronc Event.
- July 4, 1991. 6th in Series dedicated to The Gold Spur Club.
- July 4, 1992. 7th in Series commemorating the 500th anniversary of Columbus landing of the New World and introducing horses & cattle.
- July 4, 1993. 1st buckle in a series of 8 commemorating the World's largest 4th of July Rodeo and the Bullfighters / Clowns. Also, a tribute to Jeff Grigsby "The Roadrunner" who passed away in the arena on June 30th,1992.
- July 4, 1995. 3rd in the series of 8. Celebrates the expansion of the Island Grove Park.
There is more history on the backs of the buckles, but I tried to touch on the highlights. I find 2 buckles, (1986) has a little wear to it and (1987) has the most damage to the face of it. Looks like the cowboy had a really hard ride.
