Heer Veterinary Personnel trade patch

Worn by Veterinarians and their assistants within the Heer. Veterinarians were responsible for the treatment and care of animals within military formations. Some 2.7 million horses and mules were used by the German military during WW2.

The snake is representative of the Rod of Asclepius, an ancient greek symbol of health and wellbeing.

Featuring a yellow snake upon a black circle.

The badge has a diameter of approximately 55 mm.
