Rare Antique 'Delafosse' Christofle Silver Plated Cutlery set of 6 Circa 1880s - 1900s

Delafosse by Christofle French silverplate was made in the Napoleon III Empire style. It was named for Maurice Delafosse,1870-1926, France. He was described as "one of the most outstanding French colonial administrators and ethnologists of his time". The is a scarce pattern, and highly sought after - a full set retails for around USD 12,500 (see a full canteen previously sold for reference) so these are competitively priced.  Listing is for one set of six pieces as pictured, additional sets are available.
