Description

Great quality reproduction of the 6th Flotilla U-Boat Badge.

The 6th Flotilla was assigned 91 different U-Boats during its active years and was named after Kptlt. Paul Hundius, a WWI Commander sank 67 ships over 20 patrols. The flotilla was based at Kiel before WW2 when it was disbanded but was then re-introduced in 1941 in Danzig as a training fleet. It later became a combat fleet and was based in St. Nazaire on the northwestern coast of France.

The badge features the U-Boat upon a Viking Prow, also known as a Dragon Head from Norse or Viking ships. The reverse has a pin for fixing.
