The rare old soleras range from Gonzalez Byass use only the finest sun-ripened grapes. Expert blending and then maturing in oak casks for a minimum of 30 years. The rare old solera sherries are a true expression of some of the world’s finest and rarest wines.

Produced in very small quantities. Matusalem is made by enrichment of a dry oloroso sherry with 25% pedro ximenez. As well as the additional ageing in its own solera.

PRODUCER - González Byass was created in 1835 by Manuel Maria González and remains in family hands today, now in the fifth and sixth generation.  Founded in Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, in the heart of Sherry country, it is dedicated to the production of high-quality sherries.

TASTING NOTES - After 30 years of aging in extraordinary sweet-smelling casks, the so-called Matusalem acquires an intense mahogany color that provides aromas of nuts, dates, raisins, spices and mature wood. On the palate it is sweet and smooth, but at the same time elegant and complex. It retains a velvety finish that concentrates an infinite number of sensations on the palate.
