NOS! MCM Vintage Steel Single Toggle Switch Plate Cover “Antique Copper” USA by Acorn

This listing is for one (1) vintage metal Single Toggle Switch Plate Cover made in the USA by Acorn Manufacturing Co., #0311AC.  The “Antique Copper” wall plate cover is new old stock, circa 1960-70’s.  This decorative steel light switch cover measures approximately 2 ¾” by 4 ½” and comes in the original unopened packaging with 2 screws, either carded or in bags.  Slight variations in the finish can be expected as these were hand finished.  These well-crafted mid-century modern switch plates graced the walls of many of the finest custom homes built in the 1960’s and 1970’s.  Replace those paint covered receptacle covers with new 50-year-old, high quality, steel originals!  Several styles in the same finish are available as shown in the photos.  Please The Other Man's Store for the complete selection!

I recently purchased over 500 vintage Acorn Manufacturing receptacle covers from the liquidation of an 80-year-old neighborhood hardware store in Northeast Philadelphia.  These high-quality, American made outlet plates, switch covers, and receptacle covers were manufactured in Mansfield, Massachusetts in the 1960’s and the 1970’s.  Acorn Manufacturing today is a 3rd generation family owned and run business and has long been known as the “Cadillac” of reproduction colonial hardware.  These decorative steel plate covers come in various sizes and finishes including Old English, Antique Copper, Pewter, Cherry, Birch, Walnut, Dead Black, and White Ash.
