Vintage Royal Chelsea tea cup with hand painted lovely gold pattern of golden leaves with pink and blue flowers and soft green leaves. Just enough color to balance with all the gold gilt and detailing!
EXQUISITE Royal Chelsea tea cup in pattern 228A. Circa 1940's.

From 1943 onward, The 'Royal Chelsea' trade name was used by its parent company the New Chelsea China Co. Ltd., on tea ware for the North American market.

Tea cup has a scalloped edge, width of 4 1/2" and tapers to the footed golden base at 1 7/8".
Gold detailing continues outside of tea cup with golden line and leaves.
Scalloped saucer is 6" in diameter.

Vintage condition: NO chips. NO cracks. NO apparent gold loss.
