The Calendula variety known as “Pink Surprise” is a hardy annual that stretches up to about 40 cm, comprising bright green foliage and big double peach-coloured flowers that are highly prolific bloomers. This particular variety, known as “Pot Marigold”, is also valued in herbal medicine. They are ideal for use in containers, beds, borders and as cut flowers. They are great for attracting beneficial pollinators and are easy to cultivate. The flowers are primarily golden with darker burnish, while some have a pinkish tinge at the tips, and others are pink with touches of gold. In summary, this is an attractive yet unchallenging variety of Calendula.

Sow direct or raise seedlings in autumn and spring at 16mm deep, 50cm apart. Emerge in
7-14 days at 20-24°C. Flowering in 8-10 weeks. Prefer full sun. Hardy Annual.
