I just came across a closeout deal on a bunch of excellent DVDs -- I picked out only the best ones, with creators and performers that truly deserve to be studied by all serious students of magic.   I have more than 20 great titles to list, so for now, not much in the way of descriptions.  

Since I am saving time on descriptions, you can save money on the prices.  I'll list them at SUPER LOW prices.    (Get 'em now, because after I take time for detailed descriptions, the prices will have to go up!)

LIVE & PERSONAL  (John Mendoza) -- 

This footage was originally issued on VHS in the early 1990's, bit was re-mastered and put on DVD in 2006 by MY Magic.   

John Mendoza was one of the very important close-up magicians that drove the close-up magic revolution/evolution in the 1970's and 1980's.  He wrote many important books on cards and close-up, including his seminal Book of John, and its sequel, John: Verse 2.

Unfortunately, John Mendoza passed away in 2020, and the magic world lost not only one of its great magical thinkers and performers, but also one of its kindest and most generous members.  I only knew John via email correspondence, but (if my own experience was typical -- and I hear that it was...) he was always a guy who found the time to share his experience and knowledge of magic with other magicians.    Magic misses you, John.

Of course, we can still remember John M through his books, and also this DVD of excellent performances and teaching -- it includes FIFTEEN effects, and as was common in John's style, these routines contain multiple magical moments -- he often combined effects into single longer routines, to create impressive performance pieces.

Highlights include his Chop Cup, Routined Poker Mental, his Coins thru the table.  But all of the items on this extra long (115 minute) DVD are items you will want to learn and perform.  Mendoza focused on practicality in his material.

The footage is a "live" lecture, and so the production values are not as high as many DVDs, but does use multiple cameras and gives good close-up views of the effects and teaching.  But it is basically Mendoza sitting at a card table in front of a lecture audience.  Don't let the informality of the production/setting distract you from the fact that this DVD has REALLY GREAT magic on it.

Retail on this dvd set is $35, still available from the publisher MY Magic.  But of course, I will sell it for less (even though I think this DVD set is worth much more!)

CONDITION:   New and unopened.

And, of course, yes, I will combined multiple purchases into single shipments -- use the eBay cart feature to avoid overpaying on postage for multiple items.   The eBay cart should do some postage reduction automatically.   (Of course, if it still charges too much postage, I can refund excess after I ship)    If you have the "request total from seller" option in eBay cart, it is the best way to go.   I can send you the exact amount before you pay.   

Shipping costs hints:

To USA addresses:  Should only be about 50 cents to $1 extra shipping for any added DVDs after the first one (at posted shipping rates)     DVD's will ship Media mail in secure packaging.    But remember, only books and DVDs in Media Mail -- cannot combine media with non-media unless we ship 1st class or Priority Mail.     

For International addresses:  shipping for add-on DVD will vary based on total weight of the package, but it will be significantly less per DVD than the first one.    Message me if you have any questions about total shipping on multiple items.
