Also includes biographical section on Thornton and a historical section on the Octagon, which are bound together via string. Enclosing the plates is a green quarter cloth binding with a paper cover. The title is in the center of this front cover over a drawing of a door from the Octagon. Binding shows some signs of wear near edges and hinges.
