Vintage (or antique?) rare find McLaren's "Invincible Orangeaide" stoneware jug. Great condition, likely made in Winnipeg, features equally rare, almost intact paper label. Possibly originally for the 1910 built McLaren hotel.--a Winnipeg 165 room landmark catering to both echelons of society. If so, then this was one of their big sellers, which later went on the market--but we don't know. If you do, please let us know. Jug also features a vintage piece of string, as found, which was moved around for the varied photo shots to make you wonder if it's string or a new funny crack. However, there are no cracks, excepting what we can't exactly identify as one--just beneath the left side of the label---a tiny hairline or scratch--we can't tell what it is because it goes beneath the label. A small indentation on center of spout line is as was manufactured. Jug weighs in at 2490 gm, stands 30 cm tall at top of handle, and is 18 cm diameter to top of grey, which is 19.5 high up. Label is 16.5 cm across X 12 cm high.
