All veneer body

The rich sound of the deep-bodied body can be output to the line as it is.

The body of the CPX was designed with the sound and playability of an electric acoustic guitar in mind. The bracing is also designed to provide a dynamic sound with excellent response and to prevent feedback. The SRT system allows the rich sound of the medium jumbo body to be reproduced with even more realism on the live stage.

Body Thickness and Bracing Design

The medium jumbo body of the CPX produces a modern tone with powerful, rich lows and subtle highs. The non-scalloped X bracing produces a clear and powerful acoustic tone on stage.

■Soundhole Design

CPX's unique circular soundhole design controls bass and clarifies mids for a dynamic sound.

SRT System

Developed by Yamaha using advanced digital signal processing, audio, and recording technologies, the SRT is a pickup system capable of producing studio-quality acoustic guitar sounds. Using high-quality vintage microphones, the SRT easily reproduces the sound recorded by professional recording engineers in top-notch studios.

The SRT faithfully reproduces elements other than the guitar itself, such as the subtle air between the guitar and the microphone and the characteristics of the vintage microphone, to create a high-quality acoustic guitar sound. In addition, since the tone of each model is used as the basis of the sound creation, the original character of the model is utilized and a very realistic sound is produced in the line out.
