Interesting Bits: Artisan designed and expertly made --- signed butterfly by acclaimed silversmith Jenny Byrne featuring woven 925 sterling silver wings within a solid sterling border. The woven sterling has been, in part, cleverly tinted with a pale golden hue to creat a subtle pattern on pattern on the front of the wings as well as on the wing backs. The pattern is mostly faded off on the wing fronts but is clearly visible on the revers The butterfly body is a bezel-set tiny amethyst, Jasper. Very charming and collectible. The butterfly symbolizes metamorphosis which can be interpreted as everlasting life. This piece is an early item made by this artisan and is very collectible.

New Zealand native Jenny Byrne uses natural materials found on the beach and in the earth to create an unusual line silver and gold jewelry. The artist incorporates a fascination with the spiritual into her art. Each piece is individually made in Bali by skilled artisans.
