It is a prize cassette for "TDK Golden Cassette Present", and it is not a replica but an actual usable cassette.
The "TDK Golden Cassette Present" was a sales promotion campaign for users that ran from September to December 1978, and applied by sending three "Quality Assurance Marks" printed on TDK cassette index cards. Then, 3,000 people would win this cassette by lottery every month. (A campaign with the same name was also carried out in 1973, but at that time 12 "Quality Assurance Marks" were required.) In addition, the cassette given to the winners will contain the desired characters (alphabet or number, 10 I was able to have it stamped (within letters).

The color of the cassette is gold, but the material of the half is not metal, but plastic with a gold-plated surface.

The case of the cassette is also specially made, and the inside and outside are lined with navy blue cloth (the outside is velor-like), making the gold cassette inside look even more gorgeous.
As an aside, in addition to this campaign, TDK held a "Cassette Life Present" every year in which you could receive a free gift if you collected a certain number of "Quality Assurance Marks". I think that many users were reluctant to use the "Quality Assurance Mark" in their applications.
