The Icon of Digital Delay Updated

Since its debut in 1986, the DD-3 Digital Delay has remained popular with guitarists around the world for its iconic sound and simple operation. The DD-3T model retains the timeless delay sound and intuitive operation of the DD-3. The tempo of the delay can be set using a switch on the main unit or an external footswitch, and the length of the notes can be selected from three different options. In addition, the direct output terminal is laid out on the output side. This allows for smoother connections when outputting direct/effects sounds separately.

Timeless delay sound and simple operation

Based on the world's first digital delay pedal, the DD-2, which was introduced in 1983, the DD-3 has long been appreciated for its warm tone and simple operation, and has been favored by many players. The DD-3T's sound and controls are completely inherited from the DD-3, a favorite of guitarists around the world.

New Tap Tempo Function

The new tap tempo function allows you to change the delay time while playing with just the touch of your foot. This allows you to always get the rhythmic delay that best suits your song and playing style. Holding down the pedal on the main unit for 2 seconds turns on the tap tempo, allowing you to input the tempo according to the interval at which the pedal is pressed. It is also possible to input tempo using an external footswitch. The tap tempo can control a delay time of up to 800 ms. You can also set the note length (quarter note, dotted eighth note, or two-beat triplet) with the mode knob.

Direct/effect sound output using the Direct Out jack

Like the DD-3, the DD-3T is equipped with a direct out jack. The layout has been changed so that it is located next to the output terminals for smooth cable connection. When the cable is plugged into the Direct Out jack, only the effect sound is output from the output, and the effect sound and direct sound signals are output to different amplifiers to create a sound with breadth and depth. When used with an amplifier or switcher equipped with a parallel effects loop, a dummy plug can be connected to the Direct Out jack to mute the direct sound and blend only the effect sound.

Creative SHORT LOOP function

The original DD-3 (and DD-2) featured a HOLD function that could loop a phrase for up to 800 ms and play along with it. The DD-3T has the same HOLD function as the DD-3, but the name has been changed to "SHORT LOOP" to reflect its use as a looper, which is more common today.
