Time to pull out a few more crown jewels from the collection.

Most of the Beatles records have gone in the last few years, and a whole bunch of rarities, but in the next month I'll be listing some items that I've been keeping aside. Signed in 1989.

Members of the Wings Fun Club received a letterin mid 1989 announcing rehearsals for the world tour, that Paul and the band were to play at the Northumberland Theatre in July.

I applied for both days as I had two memberships to the club (the welcome pack was great, and i wanted two of each magazine).

On the Wednesday, first show, the crown kinda rushed to the stage as they got to the last few songs. I managed to grab a set list from the stage when the band walked off.

The stage door comes out onto the pavement on Northumberd Avenue, so Paul & Linda had to walk about 4m to their car, and happily signed a few autographs. Linda signed the set list and a copy of Club Sandwich, then I was last to get Pauls as he climbed into the back of the car. He gave me a big grin when he saw I'd been lucky enough to get a set list. I was 18, had been a fan since I was 10 and this was the first time I saw a Beatle live..imagine how I felt actually getting a brief meeting, an autograph and a smile. I thought every gig would be like that and it started my love of getting set lists.

The other photos (not of the set list) show the photobooks that I create to stick my original tickets into. That book is not part of this auction, but shows the invite, the tickets, photos I took (and some I didnt take but got from other fans, for instance I didnt take the one of him arriving, but I did take the blurred one of him getting into his car, thats a second before he signed.)

The auction is just for the set list.

I dont think Ive seen another signed set list in all my years of collecting. Its a high starting price, but happy to keep it if thats not what its worth.

Once Paul and Linda drove off, the rest of the band didnt get particularly hassled. Hamish signed as he came out the door with Paul and Linda. I got Wix when he came up and started walking up the road to the tube station.
