British WW2 Beret - Black

Description

British WW2 Beret - Black

The Black beret, worn by the British armoured forces during WW2. It was issued to troops serving as part of the Royal Tank Regiment and latterly by the Royal Armoured Corps. Also famously worn by General Bernard Montgomery, with both his General and RTR Cap badge affixed.

These are the 'large crown' type, as manufactured during the Second World War. Modern berets have a smaller crown.

These berets are supplied to us by 'Firmin & Sons'. The company was established in 1655 and appointed to the Royal Household as accessories, insignia and button manufacturers. Top quality reproductions and great for your WW2 Armoured portrayal!
