A super rare find - Original 1877 ILLUSTRATED HISTORICAL ATLAS OF PEEL compiled and drawn from official plans and special surveys by J.H. Pope, Esq.

Published by Walker & Miles of Toronto.

The Atlas provides Township plans, County maps, town & village plans, general maps of Manitoba & Kewatin, Ontario & Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia & PEI, and United States.

It also provides views of a lot of 40 residences and other buildings, including stores, mills, hotels, etc., after original sketches by F.M. Bell Smith, Esq., Toronto.

And there are 41 portraits of citizens with their signatures.

Included are also General Description and Statistics on judicial officers, military, geographical info, population, historical sketch of Peel and Canada, biographical sketches, and description of the Township of Toronto, which at the time included more than 40 towns and villages.

The Atlas is in fair condition. Covers are very worn and separated and are holding together with several pieces of glued paper which is also already separating. Some pages are loose. Some miss tiny parts on the edges.
