These decorated scallop shell lamp finials are made on Cape Cod from real hand-picked shells, gathered on the beach. No two shells are alike - but this pair was carefully selected to be as much alike as possible.

The design comes from paper overlaid on the shells (decoupage) which is then decorated with gold foil. The backs of the shells are painted with a pearly gold wash. There are many coats of gloss added to make these finials quite sturdy.

They measure approximately 3” from the top of the shell to the bottom of the finial hardware, and 2 1/4” across at the widest part of the shell.
