Founded in 1899 by British Henry Lennox, Goomtee Garden is located in thekurseong valley at an altitude of 1,000-2,000 meters. The total tea cultivation area is around 200 hectares. The name comes from the Indian Hindi "Ghoomatee", which translates as "twist". What is meant by this is the constantly "rotating", i.e. changing weather from fog, rain to sunshine. Golden yellow cup, soft but distinct quality.
