Description:
The item up for bids is a fabulous vintage 1960s copper milk jug cocktail shaker. It features a classic cylindrical milk jug form and is constructed from a fairly heavy gauge copper. It feels well built and solid without a lot of flex. All the joints are soldered and the interior is tinned. The copper lid and spout cap retain their original cork stoppers. There is an internal ice strainer in the spout. It is signed underneath with a stamped mark that reads Johnny Appleseed's. In my experience it is somewhat unusual to find this form in copper, so have some fun and bid!
Dimensions:
It's about 9-1/2" tall to the top of the lid handle and about 3-3/4" in diameter at the base. The cylinder is about 5-1/2" tall by 3-3/4" in diameter which translates to a good full quart capacity (if I am using the online calculators correctly). It just over one pound.

It is in good vintage condition. It shows age appropriate handling and storage wear with minor scuffs, scratches, scattered spotting, and dings. There are no dents or gouges. The copper has a good aged patina with some color variation. The interior has discoloration primarily on the sidewalls. The cork on the lid and cap is in good shape and it looks like they would make a decent seal. The pictures are the best indicator as to condition, please use the zoom feature and check them out.
