WW2 German Anti-Tank Gunner Badge

Description

WW2 German Anti-Tank Gunner Badge made from gold bullion wire on a dark green backing.

Introduced in 1936, the anti-tank badge was awarded to crewmen of the 3.7 cm PAK 36 anti-tank gun. First issued in 1928, the PAK 36 made its first combat appearance in 1936 in the Spanish Civil War. The gun became the Wehrmacht's main anti-tank weapon in the early years of WW2. The anti-tank gunner badge was introduced in recognition of the service of PAK 36 crews. These impressive replicas are made from a dark green wool backing, with the design made from gold bullion wire.
